S.T.E.A.M.

STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. These subjects are enjoyed by the children in a practical, hands on, interactive and fun way.

In Coldwood NS we acknowledge that the foundations for STEM education begin in early childhood. Our students gain hands-on experience using Google Chromebooks, iPads, BlueBot programmable Robots and Spike Lego.

Our STEM education and challenges provide a chance for our students to develop their problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.

Pupils have access to our brand new Chromebooks and iPads on which they can practice coding, research, presentation etc. 3rd-6th class pupils are set up with a Google Profile (firstnamesurname.student@coldwoodns.ie). Here, they have access to Google Docs, Slides & Excel. Project work started in school, can be continued at home by logging in with their login details.
